What Is Steel Structures?

Steel Structures covers the fabrication, supply and erection of structural steelwork — portal frames, mezzanines, platforms, pipe racks, canopies and support structures for industrial and commercial projects. Members are fabricated in controlled conditions, protected against corrosion, and erected on site by experienced crews.

Fabrication and erection follow EN 1090 (execution of steel structures) and Eurocode 3 (EN 1993). Welding is performed by qualified welders to AWS D1.1 or EN ISO 3834, with weld quality assessed against EN ISO 5817. Bolted connections use pre-load assemblies to EN 14399.

Why You Need It

Steel offers speed, long spans and predictable behaviour — but only when connections, welds and corrosion protection are executed correctly. A weld that fails inspection or a member that arrives out of tolerance stops erection and cascades through the programme.

Controlled fabrication and qualified welding remove that risk: members arrive ready to erect, connections fit first time, and the protective system gives the structure its full design life.

Our Process

  1. Shop Detailing

Produce fabrication drawings from the design, optimising connections and sequencing for delivery and erection.

  2. Fabrication

Cut, drill, assemble and weld members in the workshop under qualified welding procedures and dimensional control.

  3. Corrosion Protection

Apply hot-dip galvanizing or a specified paint system before delivery to site.

  4. Site Erection

Set out, lift and connect the steelwork, torque bolted connections and survey for alignment.
