What Is Concrete Structures?

Concrete Structures covers the full execution of reinforced-concrete works — foundations, columns, beams, slabs, cores and shear walls — for buildings and infrastructure. Power Builders delivers formwork, steel reinforcement fixing, concrete placement and curing as one integrated package, coordinated with the wider construction programme.

Work is executed to the Egyptian Code of Practice for concrete (ECP 203) and EN 13670 (execution of concrete structures), using concrete specified to EN 206. Quality is controlled at every stage — from rebar detailing and cover verification to cube testing and controlled curing.

Why You Need It

The concrete frame carries the entire building. Poorly executed formwork, misplaced reinforcement or uncontrolled curing translate directly into cracking, deflection and reduced service life — defects that are expensive to correct once the structure is loaded.

A disciplined execution team protects the investment: correct cover and compaction deliver the design strength and durability, while accurate setting-out keeps the programme on track for the trades that follow.

Our Process

  1. Setting-Out & Formwork

Survey and set out the structure, then erect and align formwork to line, level and dimension with propping designed for the pour.

  2. Reinforcement Fixing

Cut, bend and fix reinforcement to the bar-bending schedule, verifying spacing, laps and concrete cover before inspection.

  3. Concrete Placement

Place, compact and finish concrete to the approved mix, controlling temperature and workability for each element.

  4. Curing & Striking

Cure to protect strength gain, strike formwork only after the specified strength is reached, and hand over for testing.

Techniques & Equipment

  • Traditional & System Formwork Wall, column and slab systems
  • Reinforcement Detailing & Fixing To bar-bending schedules
  • Ready-Mix Placement & Pumping Vibration-compacted
  • Post-Tensioning Coordination Where specified by design
  • Cube Sampling & Cover-Meter Testing In-process QC

Frequently Asked Questions

We execute to the Egyptian Code of Practice (ECP 203) and, where required, Eurocode 2 (EN 1992), with execution to EN 13670.
Either — we work with approved ready-mix suppliers or place concrete provided under the main contract, controlling placement, compaction and curing in both cases.
Through mix approval, workability checks, cube sampling for compressive-strength testing, and cover-meter verification of reinforcement before pours.
Yes — we coordinate post-tensioning works with specialist design and our own PT-bar capability where the structure calls for it.
