Power Builders offers different techniques in the concrete strengthening service. Each technique adopts certain strategy to fit with the project requirements in order to enhance the structural capacity, durability, and performance of concrete structures to withstand higher loads, environmental factors, or to remedy deficiencies in the original construction. These techniques are:
Steel Jacketing
Steel Jacketing is one of our strengthening services. In this technique, our engineers work on wrapping or encasing the structural element with steel plates or sections in order to increase the load-bearing capacity, and enhance the resistance to any external force.
One of the most frequent techniques used in order to strengthening concrete columns or beams. Our experts work in strengthening concrete by using the steel plates which are chosen according to the concrete angles and properties.
Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) plates are composed of high-strength carbon fibers embedded in a polymer matrix that could replace iron during reinforcement works, as they are characterized by high resistance, up to five times more of the strength of iron in tensile stresses.
This technique is usually used in reinforcement when it is desired to maintain the shape of the sector without any change as it happens while reinforcing using the iron sections. Also, in Power Builders, we cover the reinforced sector by a layer of finishing to hide any traces that could appear after the reinforcement work.
